Alison Gracey – Pottery
Alison has been potting for approximately 11 years and has a full home studio in Durham, NC. She spends part of her time in Piney Creek in Alleghany County. Her stoneware pots are wheel thrown, primarily using a clay called Speckled Brownstone and fired to Cone 6. She is often influenced by nature and incorporates leaves and fern imprints in her pottery, as well as colored slip decorations, scraffito, and sponge stamping.
