John “J” Cherry – Oils
Based for the last several years out of Glade Valley, NC, “J” is originally from Richmond, VA. He moved to the mountains in 2015 to enjoy the relaxed pace and beautiful scenery of Western NC. This scenery provides the backdrop for his landscape paintings and often informs his portrait work as well. J works with oil paint in a contemporary impressionist manner, seeking a naturalistic look while retaining loose brush work and saturated color.
