Kathie Kemp – Oils and Watercolors
Kathie loves painting nature in brilliant colors. She travels everywhere with a camera to capture ideas to paint. Landscapes, vegetables, animals, pets, flowers, trees, water, birds, butterflies…the natural world in captivating color is her focus.
Her career began in commercial design as a creative director, designer, and art director in the branding, design, publishing, and arts industries including extensive work with artists and designers around the world. She has received many regional and national design awards, including design excellence recognition in Communication Arts and Print magazines. Mid-career she started taking painting lessons and has since devoted most of her time to painting in watercolor or oils.
She lives with her husband Christopher in Wilkes county, NC with their awesome Australian Shepherd Gabriel.
