Sherry Obsessed- Acrylic Pour Artist
Sherry’s family moved to Sparta when she was just 6 months old and lived here until the age of 11. She lived in Pennsylvania for about 16 years, but moved back to Sparta in 2000. She enjoys the small town vibe of Sparta and prefers the country to the city. While she misses some conveniences like stores being open 24/7, the quiet and ease of navigating traffic are a win.
Sherry started learning the art of acrylic pouring in 2020. She had always wanted to dive into the art form, but the pandemic gave her the time she needed to perfect her art. Sherry pours on canvas, vases, Christmas ornaments and many other items. She also uses the poured paint to make beautiful jewelry. Creation of a new piece is time consuming. After the pouring, there is time for drying, curing and varnishing of the finished piece. It can take at least a month from start to finish. She is passionate about the art form and calls her business “Sherry Obsessed”.
Sherry has several cats ranging in age from 21 years old to 4 years old (as of Dec 2022). So don’t be surprised if you see a cat hair or two in some of her pieces!
